Principal's Message

Dear Cunningham Families & Community, 

As we begin the 2023-2024 school year, it is an honor and privilege to serve the Cunningham community as the principal. 

Welcome to all of you this the new 2023-2024 school year. We are dedicated to supporting the implementation of TUSD’s Initiatives for the success of all stakeholders. We understand and value the importance of building a school culture that embraces and respects all our members' diverse backgrounds, and we believe it is vital to maintain positive and productive relationships with our students, parents, and school community. We encourage you to participate at Cunningham by joining our site’s parent committees, attending family nights and special events, and communicating with your child’s teacher/s throughout the school year. 

All of our Cunningham team members are committed to ensuring the implementation of our collective commitments with the focus on all of our diverse scholars receiving the highest quality education possible through equitable practices and centering on the development of the whole child. These commitments include engagement with supportive parents, devoted staff, and community members. It is our goal to empower all scholars to reach beyond their perceived potential to succeed and engage in their educational journey by providing a guaranteed and viable curriculum and effective individualized instruction in a caring and culturally diverse environment where all are respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. 

This handbook is a guide that will provide you with important policies and expectations at Cunningham School and within the Turlock Unified School District. These guidelines provide the structure needed to ensure that our school is a safe and effective learning environment. Please read and discuss this handbook with your child and keep it as a reference throughout the year. 

We are looking forward to working with our families this year, and your perspective as a parent is valuable to all of us and to the success of your child, so please remember to contact us whenever you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.
